M. Alejandra Fajardo

M. Alejandra Fajardo is a Colombo-Canadian creative entrepreneur based in Toronto. With a Bachelor of Architectural Studies specializing in Urbanism from Carleton University, her practice blends digital media with participatory engagement, reflecting her deep interest in the intersections between connection, urbanism, and community.

Alejandra is the founder and lead of Embracce, a multi-disciplinary agency focused on marketing communications, document production, and facilitation. Her ongoing project, 14 Relationships, delves into the intricacies of self-connection and interpersonal and invisible relationships at the intersection of natural and urban systems. She recently shared 6 Parking day activation tips and a five-step communication framework.

In addition to her work, Alejandra’s impact is felt in the public realm. She led a Jane’s Walk Festival Tour in collaboration with Smart Density and secured a Park(ing) Day Grant to transform an urban parking lot into a vibrant public space. Most recently, she was selected as part of DesignTO’s 2024 Youth Cohort, further solidifying her presence in Toronto’s design and urbanism landscape.

This portfolio website includes selected work that reflects her interests and philosophies. It exhibits the work she developed during and after her degree. She completed her BAS - Urbanism in 2021 with two projects published in the schoolbook —Building 22- 21st edition (contained in this website). Hence, she is one of the 2020 director's project winners under the faculty citation category.

On the other hand, she is a proud immigrant rooted in this land, which she recognizes as a valuable perspective. Overall, she has self-started many valuable projects along diverse topics, disciplines, and perspectives that have taught her invaluable skills and lessons. She looks forward to learning from new challenges and collaborating with like-minded individuals to accomplish great projects. There is much to learn, and she's committed to cultivating the right growth conditions for herself and others.
