M. Alejandra Fajardo is a Colombo-Canadian communications strategist, urbanist, and creative practitioner based in Toronto. With a Bachelor of Architectural Studies in Urbanism from Carleton University, her practice bridges digital storytelling, participatory engagement, and urban systems thinking — all grounded in a deep commitment to public life and community connection.
She is the founder of Embracce, a communications studio working at the intersection of marketing, facilitation, and urban change. Through this work, she supports architecture, housing, and planning organizations in translating technical expertise into accessible, values-driven narratives that engage diverse audiences and stakeholders.
Alejandra’s work is also rooted in civic participation. She is a core member of the Jane’s Walk Toronto steering committee, where she leads communications strategy and supports global brand alignment. In 2024, she led a Jane’s Walk Festival tour with Smart Density and secured a Park(ing) Day grant to co-design a playful urban activation, creating space for intergenerational conversations about public space. Additionally, she was selected to DesignTO’s 2024 Youth Cohort, reflecting her growing presence in Toronto’s design and urbanism landscape.
Beyond her public-facing work, Alejandra’s creative research project, 14 Relationships, explores connection, identity, and relational dynamics across natural and built systems.
Alejandra sees storytelling as a participatory act — one that invites reflection, builds trust, and strengthens the social fabric. She welcomes opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, and collective growth.
